Mark Antkiewicz

Principal

This year we welcome back Mr. Antkiewicz to District 111 as Principal of Tobin School. His experience includes 12 years as Principal at the elementary and junior high level as well as four years as Assistant Principal/Dean and 8 years as a Physical Education Teacher. Although, the majority of his professional career has been in District 111, Mr. Antkiewicz has been a Principal in Lyons School District 103 for the past five years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Arts in General Administration from Chicago State University. Additionally, Mr. Antkiewicz is fluent in Polish. Mr. Antkiewicz is eager to lead the team at Tobin School and foster positive connections with the staff, students, and families.

School Board Candidate Information

Burbank School District 111 will have three school board seats to be filled at the April 6, 2027 Consolidated Election. Candidates who are elected will fill four-year terms expiring in April 2031. Candidates for the office of school board can begin to circulate nominating petitions beginning August 25. The period for candidate filing is November 16 - 23. Title I Information Meeting

Attention BSD111 Families: Our Title I Informational Meeting will be held as an open forum on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Burbank School Cafeteria. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn more about our ISBE Title I Grant, how these funds support our schools, and the impact they have on meeting the academic needs of our students. We look forward to seeing you there!
