This year we welcome back Mr. Antkiewicz to District 111 as Principal of Tobin School.  His experience includes 12 years as Principal at the elementary and junior high level as well as four years as Assistant Principal/Dean and 8 years as a Physical Education Teacher.  Although, the majority of his professional career has been in District 111, Mr. Antkiewicz has been a Principal in Lyons School District 103 for the past five years.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Arts in General Administration from Chicago State University.  Additionally, Mr. Antkiewicz is fluent in Polish.  Mr. Antkiewicz is eager to lead the team at Tobin School and foster positive connections with the staff, students, and families.

Congratulations Young Authors Contest Winners!

Our Annual Young Authors Contest was held February 18 at Tobin School. A winner from each grade level was selected as well as an overall district winner. A link to each grade level winning submission can be found here. Congrats to all our talented young authors!

District 111's Annual Art Exhibition will be held Wednesday, March 24 at Prairie Trails Library from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

ISBE Those Who Excel - Award of Excellence

The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) has honored more than 450 Illinoisans for their extraordinary contributions to education across the state through its annual Those Who Excel & Teacher of the Year Awards. The awardees include 14 members of the Illinois Teacher of the Year Cohort. The awardees announced today include Burbank School District’s Angela Sexton, Teacher at McCord Early Learning Center!

Student Registration for 2026-27

2026-2027 Registration Opens March 1

New and Returning Student Registration opens March 1. Parents and guardians of current students will receive an email with a direct snap-code link to register their student. Current 5th grade students moving on to Liberty next year should be registered as Returning Students. Please also note: snapcode letters indicate your child's current school.

District Fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House

LJHS Junior Honor Society students are proud to lead the 2026 Districtwide Fundraiser benefiting the Ronald McDonald House and we invite our entire community to join us in making a meaningful impact. Throughout the campaign, students will be raising funds, hosting restaurant fundraiser nights, and collecting much needed items for Food Care Packs to support families during their most challenging times. We encourage everyone to mark the dates on their calendars, plan to dine out, donate, or participate in our Pack the Pack events, and show support for our students’ passion for service.
