WELCOME TO TOBIN LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Tobin Library Media Center is to ensure that all students become effective users of books. The library media center strives to provide materials on appropriate levels that will encourage all students to develop a love of reading.
LOAN PERIODS FOR STUDENTS
Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade will be offered the opportunity to check out materials from Tobin Library.
Kindergarten 1 book will be loaned for one week renewed upon request
1st Grade 1 book will be loaned for one week and renewed upon request
2nd-6th Grade 2 books (plus 1 for research as needed) will be loaned for one week
and renewed upon request
PERIODICALS/MAGAZINES
A periodical counts as one book and may be loaned for one week renewed upon request.
OVERDUE, LOST OR DAMAGED MATERIALS
All students are responsible for all materials checked out in their name from Tobin Library. Any student with a late, lost or damaged book will not be allowed to check out other materials until all books are returned or paid for.
Parents will be notified of the cost of payment. All books are assessed at current market value and are purchased with professional library bindings. A refund will be made during the current school year for any materials that are found and returned in good condition.
PLEASE HELP YOUR CHILD WITH THE FOLLOWING THINGS:
Please remind your child to wear their student ID every day.
Provide a quiet, comfortable place for your child to read
Remind your child to return their books on time.
